Davi Raubach Tuchtenhagen studied music composition at the Federal University of Pelotas (Bachelor of Music 2012-17) and concluded his master’s program in 2019 under the guidance of Felipe de Almeida Ribeiro at the Federal University of Paraná. He followed composition and analysis seminars with various composers including Januibe Tejera, Flo Menezes, Maurício Dottori, and Cort Lippe. He integrated the Insólita Assemble, which worked with improvised performances mixing dance, visual art, and music. He is part of the CIM (Círculo de Invenção Musical), a group of young composers in Curitiba, and the group Ars Iubilorum, South American collective of composers interested in the composition of liturgical music that employs contemporary techniques. He has worked in collaboration with performers such as Valentina Daldegan and Eric Moreira. His compositions Essay on curtains (2018) and After the wind (2019) were selected for the electroacoustic music festival Espacios Sonoros (Argentina) in 2019 and 2020, respectively. Simultaneously, he has dedicated himself to songwriting, choir conducting and arranging, accordion playing, and music teaching.
