In this piece, reading has a poetic function. A text is read by the instrumentalists silently or not. Instrumental gestures are associated with syllables. The same text is presented in a score for the listeners who participate by reading it in moments and in foreseen ways.

extends and saves us from the pages
we went to bed with our feet full of paths

bed is the path where we lie down together and warm our feet

a song was born from the meager heat
with little space, it uncomposed at our aroeira seedling
we murmur good night, we wake up and continue singing

Autumn Floor for flute and electronics

Premiered by Valentina Daldegan. "Chão de outono" is the result of a collaboration between the composer and the flutist Valentina Daldegan. It is based on the homonymous poem of Mario Quintana (Chão de outono). This is a possible translation for it:

Autumn Floor
Throughout the uneven stones of the paving, poor yellow leaves in a panic pass by, pursued by an invitation of burial, sinister, crackling, each time nearer and nearer, two wings dressed in black!

Throughout the piece, the flutist recites the poem and plays the flute concurrently.
